Kent has many great places to see and visit for older and young people alike.

Here are a few that we know of and have been recommended. Please try them out and let us know if you would recommend them yourself.

1. Leeds castle

Visitors never forget their first breathtaking vision of Leeds Castle in Kent, rising majestically from the moat as it has done for over 900 years.

With 500 acres of beautiful parkland and formal gardens, daily events and year round attractions, Leeds Castle is one of the best days out in Kent, you will want to come back time and again! Open all year, there is something new for everyone to discover every day.

Your annual ticket allows you to visit as many times as you like across a whole year. Both this and day tickets are available to purchase online in advance or on the day of your visit.

Getting to Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle is located just off Junction 8 of the M20, midway  between London and the Channel Ports, with excellent links to the UK motorway network.

Eat out in Paddock Wood

Places to eat around Paddock Wood

Paddock Wood is in the heart of Kent and has great places to see and visit. The quality of places to go and eat are many and a lot of them have great reputations.

Here are a few that we know of and have been recommended. Please try them out and let us know if you would recommend them yourself.

1. Olive Stores Brasserie (Formerly Olive Stores Cafe Bistro)

Hop Farm Village | Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood TN12 6PY, England

Our Brasserie is located right at the front of the Hop Farm Village where there is extensive parking right on our doorstep.

We are open 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year!

There aren’t many places in Kent where you can get a good coffee and a fantastic breakfast from 8.30am in the morning, but at Olive Stores Brasserie you can.  Eat in with your colleagues for a breakfast meeting or grab a take out on your way to work or the station.

We have intimate tables for two, comfy sofas and large sharing tables for 14 so every option is covered.   There are 80 covers inside and 30 covers outside, so just turn up and grab a table – however, we would recommend booking to avoid disappointment at peak times – just call 01622 871006.

Our cakes are baked on the premises and our produce sourced as locally as possible.  We are fully licensed, so you can also enjoy a chilled vino or local ale.

Our main menu starts at 11.45 and runs through until 5pm on Sunday to Wednesday and until 11pm on Thursday to Saturday.  Coffee & cake is of course served anytime and proper Afternoon High Tea is available from 3pm (booking adviseable).  A great kids menu is also available.
